The Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) are an International Religious Organization within the Catholic Church, founded by St. John Bosco to serve youngsters, especially those who are poor and marginalized. The Salesians began working in the city of Mumbai in 1928 and from there spread to other places in western India. The Salesian Province of Mumbai was officially established on January 31, 1972.  It comprises the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. There are presently 210 Salesians working in 33 institutions spread over these four states.  These institutions offer a variety of services to disadvantaged youth. LEARN MORE
WADALA, JANUARY 27, 2012: Shelter Don Bosco celebrated the Republic day with a small program. Mr. Ravi Nair, staff for Teach India by Times of India was the Chief Guest for the programme. The Shelter boys marched in with the Chief Guest to hoist the flag. They delivered a speech in Hindi, a poem in English, and a song highlighting the virtue of patriotism.  MORE
